iFly Phoenix, the Valley’s first indoor skydiving attraction, is the latest entertainment addition to the Pavilions at Talking Stick shopping center. The 60-foot structure, which houses a 14-foot diameter vertical wind tunnel, has adjustable wind speeds up to 150mph to simulate freefalling without having to jump from a plane.
No skydiving experience? No problem. All first-time flyers are required to take a training class before entering the tunnel and are supplied with the use of a flight suit, helmet and goggles, Those as young as three can enjoy the experience while being guided on basic flight maneuvers by an instructor certified to IBA flight standards.
Seasoned jumpers may want to consider taking up bodyflight, a competitive sport that is rapidly gaining popularity and bringing even the most seasoned jumper to the next level.
Flights start around $70/person for two 60-second flights and go as high as $700 for 24 flights that can be shared by up to 12 people. Other available packages include birthdays, corporate events, party groups and a STEM program for school field trips.
No matter your level of freefalling or flight experience, the iFly Phoenix adventure awaits you.
iFly Phoenix, located at 9206 East Talking Stick Way, Scottsdale, is the company’s 28th U.S. attraction since opening in Orlando in 1999. For more information, visit iflyworld.com/phoenix.
