Valley native, Annay Pompo, founder and chief designer at GlamrRoom, has been making waves with her ability to restore and restyle furniture and home goods. Her pieces can be seen in homes throughout the Phoenix area and include vintage finds as well as treasured family heirlooms.
Pompo hopes GlamrRoom will help consumers cherish furniture and specialty pieces once again. Rather than storing sentimental objects in the garage or attic, clients can now restore meaningful pieces to display and appreciate daily. And, clients don’t have to have a valuable old piece for a GlamrRoom transformation. Many ask her to find a vintage treasure to recycle and restyle into their own version of perfection. In a society that loves big stores like Ikea and Target for home goods, Pompo is using GlamrRoom to familiarize the public with her concept of reusing, restoring and restyling.
GlamrRoom specializes in customizing family pieces and bringing them new life. “We see families that invest in furniture for a new child but then want to reuse it for the second,” says Pompo. “If the first child was a girl then the second is a boy, many parents want to reuse the furniture but request an updated look.” Another growing trend is restoring family heirlooms for modern use, which means it is no longer necessary to keep your great grandmothers cabinet in your garage out of guilt. Pompo explains, “I’ve recently recreated cherished pieces for families, so that they can enjoy in everyday life. A vintage desk can be transformed into a changing table, a book case to a bar cart – the options are endless.”
GlamrRoom offers complimentary design consultation, restoration, refurbishing, finding one-of-a-kind items especially for you, paint and design, and specializes in exclusive chalk paint and wax finish, wood stain and designer color matching. GlamrRoom meets with you to understand your vision and goals and then creates your personalized, unique items.
