The temperatures are rising, but that doesn’t mean north Phoenix families can’t keep cool this summer. Wet ‘n’ Wild Phoenix Waterpark, a popular local attraction off Pinnacle Peak and the 1-17, is launching their annual Dive ‘n’ Movie series May 29.
The Friday night events were so popular last year that this summer, the waterpark will do an additional showing of the weekly flicks on Thursday evenings. Both Friday and Thursday night films will begin at approximately 8:00 p.m.
The movies are shown to guests lounging in tubes or relaxing among friends and family in the 700,000-gallon Monsoon Bay Wave Pool on the north end of the park. The four-foot high waves turn off for the movies, but children under 48 inches still need a lifejacket and should be accompanied by an adult.
Dive ‘n’ Movies are all rated G or PG and include popular animated films including:

CARS: Help rookie racer Lightening McQueen decide if the battle for the Piston Cup is more important than newfound friends in this charming, fast-paced animated classic.
