Date Night Dishes: Clubhouse at Maya

Getting a night out with your significant other can mean a time to let loose and have a little fun. That is exactly what you can do at Clubhouse at Maya.

During the fall and winter months, Clubhouse at Maya is a completely re-invented space as a dog-friendly, happy hour, brunch, sports-watching hot spot in Old Town. The Maya Day-Night Club makes these changes for the cooler months and adds a new food and cocktail menu.

My husband and I got the chance to check out the new features including a treehouse bar, including games like Skee-Ball, giant-sized Jenga, giant-sized beer pong, ping pong and other games. There are also picnic tables and comfy lounge furniture and several flat screen TV’s to catch all the games.

Clubhouse at Maya is open seven days a week, and there is music playing from the 1970’s through today. There is a brunch offered on the weekends, football specials during the games, and they will be celebrating each of the upcoming holidays special theme décor.

My husband and I got the chance to try out some of the delicious cocktails available at the Clubhouse, my favorites were White Claw. We also enjoyed some of the wonderful food on the menu. We started with Fuego Fries, which were French Fries, ranch dressing and chopped up boneless buffalo wings. Then we each tried a different meal from the menu. I enjoyed the Californication Burger (with Turkey instead) and my husband tried The Bird, which was a delicious crispy chicken sandwich with bacon, chipotle ranch, peperjack cheese and more.

We were so full after the meal we didn’t get a chance to try out the amazing looking milkshakes on the menu but if you get a chance to head on out to the Clubhouse, I hear those would be a good thing to try!

The service was spectacular and everyone was so nice, definitely a high point of our visit. I will say that the music is played loudly, so this is not a spot for a quaint little, quiet night out. This is the spot where you go to have some fun, where you can dance, listen to music, enjoy good drinks and great food.

We had a great time and will be back to check it out again. If you’d like to check out The Clubhouse at Maya, visit them online at http://mayaclubaz.com/clubhouse/.
